Since its inception, the group’s project portfolio continues to grow in the areas of tire intelligence, tire manufacturing, operations and tire technology.

Our diverse group works together with other digital teams to develop innovative solutions for simulating, modeling and analyzing complex processes throughout our company. The opportunity

On this position you will:

- In collaboration with our customers in various business areas, identify opportunities for data-driven decisions and digitalization to support our strategy of enabling mobility.
- Develop AI-based tire intelligence solutions from inception to deployment in collaboration with business owners and IT teams.
- Independently perform Data Science tasks to support large-scale Data Science initiatives in our global team. Tasks include data exploration and cleaning, feature generation, modeling and data visualization.
- Work closely with other data scientists to scale-up data solutions. Execute continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) activities to release machine learning code and pipelines into a Production environment
- Ensure high quality AI solutions with best practices such as code reviews, pull requests and automated testing
- Build model performance benchmarking, evaluation and monitoring capabilities
- Share and present your ideas and successes with IT professionals and business stakeholders throughout the company
- Develop an understanding of the business, technology, manufacturing processes, and Data Science-related topics such as data systems (data sources, data gathering, data storage) and business analytics (business reporting procedures and metrics).
- Lead improvements of our “data science process” within the global organization

To join our team you will need:
**Education**:

- M.Sc. in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar technical field

Languages:

- You are fluent in English.

**Experience**:

- 1-2 years of experience in machine learning and advanced data analysis on large data sets
- Experience in deploying, monitoring and maintaining machine learning models in cloud environments
- Strong experience working in a cross-functional environment supporting multiple areas of the business

Skills & Qualifications:

- Demonstrated knowledge in Applied Mathematics (statistics, linear algebra, optimization) and Data Science (machine learning, forecasting, data management)
- Demonstrated experience with:

- Data science tools (Python, Java/Scala, Spark)
- Software engineering tools and practices (Python, Git, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, automated testing)
- System infrastructure in Linux/Windows (Bash, PowerShell, Docker, CRON, Apache Airflow)
- Cloud platform technology (AWS or MS Azure)
- Must be able to function independently as well as work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate well with stakeholders and end users from a wide range of technical backgrounds
- Willingness to teach others and learn new technologies
