You will join the Environmental Sustainability Assessment and Circularity (SUSTAIN) Unit of ERIN. SUSTAIN develops knowledge, transferable (software) technologies, practical methods and outreach activities for the simulation and comprehensive sustainability assessment of societal systems. Its final purpose is to foster sustainable eco-innovation, through products and technologies, as well as support sustainability-oriented policy implementation and behavioural change to promote decarbonisation transitions.

**How will you contribute?**:

- You will contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge sustainability assessment solutions and decarbonization strategies.
- You will utilize your expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to meticulously analyze and evaluate sustainability impacts.
- You will stay at the forefront of the latest EU standards and regulations, enabling you to navigate and align with the Green Deal policy.
- You will collaborate with prominent industries and policy makers on transformative projects aimed at driving sustainable practices.
- You will be responsible for managing a strategic and influential multi-stakeholder partnership focused on sustainable decarbonization pathways.
- You will leverage your extensive experience in working across diverse value chains, with a special focus on the Sustainable Construction sector.
- You will provide valuable guidance and support to financial institutions and industries in meeting reporting requirements and adopting Sustainable Finance practices.

You hold a Master's degree in environmental engineering, environmental economics, environmental science, or a related field. A PhD in sustainability assessment would be a valuable asset.

You should have:

- A minimum of 4 years of experience successfully implementing sustainability assessment initiatives and driving impactful projects with industry partners.
- Exceptional expertise in Sustainability Assessment, specifically in the field of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
- Excellent proficiency in utilizing commercial LCA software to generate comprehensive and insightful analyses.
- Strong organizational skills, a multidisciplinary mindset, a tenacious problem-solving approach, and a remarkable ability to collaborate effectively in a team while also thriving independently.

It would be advantageous if you have proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python, to enhance your analytical capabilities and drive innovation.

Previous experience in crafting compelling EU proposals that secure funding and enable ground-breaking research initiatives would be beneficial.

Your fluent command of the English language, both spoken and written, is essential. Knowledge of German, French, or Luxembourgish would be an advantageous asset.
