Emea Benchmark Manager

Activities- Lead benchmark activities related to all product lines for EMEA division by improving knowledge of competitor products. Coordinate exchanges with other divisions and run benchmark studies at global level when needed
- Manage the competitor database and communicate about benchmark studies
- Communicates benchmark detailed analytical reports enriched by product managers and RD specialists to propose formulation strategies and technical tools to be used by marketing/sales.
- Lead technology benchmark activities in line with Technology Group Director. Reports/adds technology information with the product benchmark studies.
- Leads, conducts, and develops specific tests to understand behavior of products at real life (including specific installation test)
- Proactively manages competitor benchmark studies with key interfaces related to projects and activities with other R&D teams and functions in operations and marketing.
- Initiate and leads contacts with other Tarkett testing centers and external laboratories
- Manage a team of operators/technicians, from daily activities/needs to long term strategic targets.
- Manage the allocation of available resources to studies & activities needs.
- Is in contact with group technology watch team to get support on benchmark EMEA needs.
- Continuously communicate progresses with EMEA R&D Director and Marketing product managers

Qualifications / Experience required
- Ability in engaging, empowering and developing R&D operators and technicians and working transversally. Ability to build effective team culture.
- Good skills in management of R&D projects.
- Knowledge and industrial experience in polymer engineering and/or polymer chemistry and quality/testing (PhD or Master level Engineer) is required.
- Good knowledge in the building industry.
- International openness, multicultural experience. English language skills are mandatory.
