ArcelorMittal Energy SCA has been incorporated in 2011 as an energy supplier to buy electricity and natural gas on the European markets and deliver them to the mills. This scheme enables the optimization of ArcelorMittal energy portfolio in Europe. The small team of around a dozen people is operational since January 2012 and is rapidly expanding its coverage, being active today in almost 10 countries across Europe, while supporting teams operating outside Europe.

The position is based in Luxembourg, with the option to work 20-40% from home.
**About the role**:
- The focus of this position lies on the Natural Gas & LNG markets, but due to the nature of the team an understanding of other commodities and responsibilities / growth in other areas is guaranteed.
- The role is split between supporting the Front Office in their activities of purchasing Natural Gas & Power for customers and supporting various teams in long term procurement of energy.
- The role provides access to various data & news sources which are crucial for the daily activities (i.e. Bloomberg, Refinitiv,)
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Daily screening of the Natural Gas & LNG markets, and filtering the most important news to keep the traders as well as the management informed of the latest movements and drivers.
- Performing bespoke short term (i.e. impact of supply disruptions ) and structural long-term analysis (i.e. Summer/Winter Outlooks) on various energy market related matters.
- Maintaining high quality of regular reports/presentations to people familiar with the energy markets but also to senior management who wants to understand the latest trends and impacts on the company.
- Supporting the Traders in the development of hedging proposals and trading strategies.
- Modelling the Natural Gas Markets in various ways is key to success to all of the above.
**Your profile / What you bring & who you are ideally**:
- Experience of working in the energy sector is a plus especially the exposure to a trading environment is beneficial, but not a must.
- Excel skills are critical, programming skills (R, python,) will be a strong plus and can/will be learned on the job.
- High attention to detail and strong critical thinking/analytical skills.
- Team player with the ability to think systemically and solve problems effectively and efficiently, always challenging the status quo.
- Demonstrating own initiative, being pro-active and showing confidence when presenting.
- Strong communication skills in English (English speaking environment, other languages a plus but not a must), verbal and written, with the ability to adjust the communication to the needs of the recipient and to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally within a multi-cultural environment.
