Michel Greco S.A., a Post group company, working in parcel delivery, transportation and warehousing is currently for its brand new **Transportation Manager**.

As a **Transportation Manager**, your main mission will be to supervise the planning, coordination, and execution of product shipments from production to the end-user. You will be responsible for managing the logístical aspects, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring that shipments are carried out efficiently, safely, and within budget.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the Trucking Operations activities by ensuring effective performance and adherence to procedures,
- Optimize operational and organizational processes. Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation and logistics operations,
- Oversee and support the implementation of transportation-related projects,
- Facilitate coordination with handling agents, trucking companies, and outstations to ensure smooth daily operations,
- Provide customer support by ensuring quick and efficient reaction to all internal and external transportation operations related customer requests,
- Ensure prompt and effective responses to all transportation-related requests, both internal and external,
- Ensure, maintain and improve high standards of service quality,
- As a “super-user” ensure stable operations such as TSS, TMS, etc.: Supervise and ensure the stability of systems such as TSS (Transport Software Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems),
- Control the task executions, the adherence to procedures and instructions on daily planning and monitoring and perform regular performance analysis. Monitor daily task performance, ensure adherence to procedures, and conduct regular performance analyses,
- Negotiate and agree ad-hoc truck pricing of transportation, update systems and files as per procedures. Manage truck pricing negotiations, update systems and files according to procedures,
- Benchmark existing pricing from carriers and negotiate best in class prices and structure fitting the business needs. Respond to RFQ’s in the market from a transportation point of view and in conjunction with all other stakeholders (Sales, Logistics, etc).

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- College degree or relevant professional qualification,
- Ability to manage budgets and understand financial aspects of operations,
- Experience managing of staff, duties and tasks in planning and Demonstrated experience in transportation or logistics management,
- Ability to establish and maintain good customer relations,
- DGR / ADR awareness: In-depth understanding of transport and safety regulations (DGR/ADR, AVI, TSC (GDP)),
- Process knowledge through cross-cutting understanding of end-to-end value chain (i.e. ops procedures of service providers),
- Fundamental comprehension of Ops procedures (i.e. physical handling processes, messaging),
- In depth know how of overland transportation standards and procedures (i.e. reservation, trucking and network management),
- Experienced with operational IT systems relevant for steering: Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end value chain, operational procedures, and relevant IT systems,
- Fluency in English and French, proficiency in German is an asset.
