IT Network Engineer Junior (m/f)

Your mission:

As part of the group IT, the maintenance and administration of our world-wide scale network (primarily based on Cisco), HQ located in Luxembourg. By that is mean the LAN, WiFi, WAN, SD-WAN as well as all the different layers between themSupport Datacenter network task's in a highly available operational contextPerform disaster recovery operationsDeploy security aspects based on our SIG transparent proxy and MFA solutionBackup network configuration and check their consistencyUpdate the network equipment basing on a patch management plan. Including the coordination, planning, and deliveryMonitoring the different network elements and layersAnalyzing network performance and determine if adjustments are requiredTroubleshoot various network related issuesApply security best practices on each network layer when required and in collaboration with other team membersReplace faulty network hardware components when requiredAlong with your personal evolution, manage technical projects to maintain, replace, enhance the various group network elementsBe a second level engineering escalation point for the Service Desk teamContribute to the active monitoring of the network and related alertsProvide support and guidance to local IT coordinatorsSporadic, 1week, short onsite projects in our local plants over Europe, South America, China (can be 1-3/year or none).Document and report your work

Your profile:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science2-3 year's experience in a similar position is a nice to haveAny certification in mainstream network technologies is also a plusYou are committed to understand how "it" worksHence, you are not afraid not understanding something. On the opposite you take it as a challengeHighly motivated you never give up on any technical issue.
