Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to spearhead audit initiatives across the EMEA region. Job Summary:

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will oversee and execute intricate audit projects across diverse business lines and entities in the EMEA region. This key role demands extensive audit expertise, robust leadership skills, and the capacity to offer strategic insights to enhance our internal control framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of risk-based audit plans for EMEA entities, ensuring coverage of operational, financial, and compliance areas.
  • Conduct and manage end-to-end audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to evaluate business processes, assess risks, and provide valuable recommendations for process enhancements and risk reduction.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide junior audit team members to support their professional growth and ensure top-notch audit outcomes.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends pertinent to the payments and fintech sectors in the EMEA region.
  • Enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness by driving continuous enhancement in audit methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Create comprehensive audit reports, present findings, and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred.
  • Substantial experience (8+ years) in internal audit, risk management, or compliance roles in financial services, emphasizing leading audit programs across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is crucial, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven capability to independently lead and manage audit engagements, delivering high-quality audit outcomes consistently.
  • Thorough understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment practices, and regulatory requirements applicable to the EMEA region.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify key insights, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the mentorship and development of audit team members.
