  • Excellent knowledge of Progress Database Administration including but not limited to Dump and Load, Performance Tuning, Databases Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Debugging.
  • Database administration, manage and support all Production, QA and Developemnt environments.
  • A good understanding systems, particularly AIX.
  • Hands on experience on Shell Scripting and unix administration
  • Experience in code deployment, compilation and troubleshooting of issues relating to it. Providing support to the Development Team.
  • Should understand complex Unix Scripts and be able to develop new scripts
  • Installation and configuration experience of Progress
  • Should be fully conversant in Unix Shell Scripting and should be proficient in writing Shell Scripts for database administration and monitoring. Knowledge of Progress 4GL queries is a plus.
