Chief Financial Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company focused on teamwork, team spirit, offering a professionally challenging and rewarding role within a dynamic multi-cultural environment.
You will have a broad range of responsibilities, will be able to work autonomously on an operational level, and will be part of the senior management supporting the Company's growth ambitions.
The position will require a seasoned professional to confidently navigate Luxembourg's domestic finance, accounting, and tax regulations, as well as those in the branch and subsidiary.
Chief Financial Officer
Your areas of responsibility:
- Supervise the Company's inhouse accounting team (2 persons), and its outsourced accounting activities abroad. Set up a control of the economic management of the entity and optimize its financial profitability and cost control according to its commercial objectives, internal rules, laws, and regulations (commercial, tax and financial).
- Supervise the company's risk management and financial functions (accounting, treasury, management control, etc.) according to internal rules, laws, and regulations (financial, tax and commercial).
- Implement the necessary procedural framework in relation to the company's activity, defining the risk control plan and cooperate with the key functions, the board, the external service providers, and the teams to maintain a high level of control of the business risks.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
- Support senior management in the pricing of the Company's services and evaluate opportunities to expand the Company's service scope
- Participate to develop local HR strategies, policies, and practices. Evaluate staffing needs with Managers. Be involved in recruitment processes and insure onboarding.
- Manage the payroll process with external service providers
- Manage the relationships with external parties such as auditors, accounting firms, tax consultants etc.
- Ensure the supervision of risks related to outsourced activities
- Control and monitor client portfolio performance and returns
- Participate in the review of due diligence questionnaires and outsourced activities
- Review and update risk control measures, policies, and procedures.
- Financial management and regulatory aspects including taxrelated risks (transfer pricing rules, permanent establishment risks etc.)
- Analyse the performance of the entity, control the financial results and recommend corrective actions and implementation of performance indicators.
- Carry out budget monitoring and supervise accounting closures, monitoring of ratios, etc.
- Control the reporting to the governing and regulatory bodies and propose solutions for optimizing the structure's profitability and provide an analysis of the quality of risk control.
- Administrative management of customer/supplier invoicing.
- Review filing VAT declarations and tax declarations.
- Review of MIS and annual accounts
- Coordinate and supervise internal and external audits.
- Understand the governance requirement of the Luxembourg entity from an accounting and tax perspective and ensure they are compliant.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments in Luxembourg
- Manage timely submission of compliance filings (including direct tax returns, VAT returns, CSSF reporting etc) with the local administrations and authorities.
- Proactively anticipate the processes required to ensure the Group remains compliant (i.e commission transfer pricing studies where required, consult on specific technical issues, organise timely audit planning, and work with portfolio finance teams to discuss accounting consolidation procedures).
- Provide a "best practice" corporate governance service to shareholders, directors (board and committees) and other stakeholders, which includes, but is not limited to coordinating the documentation for the following: dividend declarations
What you offer:
- University degree, or higher, in finance / accounting and preferably further professional qualifications
- At least 8 years of postqualification experience
- Proven managerial skills with prior experience in managing and supervising a team
- Deep technical expertise in accounting standards, taxation, and reporting obligations
- Ability to build and develop relationships with internal / external stakeholders as well as previous experience working with auditors
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in liaising with other boardlevel executives as well as building networks at all levels including within the organisation.
