Your role in helping us shape the future:
In this role, the Associate Credit & Collections Analyst will provide critical assistance to C&C team members and other Analysts on a daily basis by analyzing the risk associated with extending credit to potential and existing international customers.
You'll safeguard Intelsat assets by helping the team minimizing bad-debt risks, and maximize cash inflows through the timely collection of accounts receivable.
You'll regularly interact with internal and external parties to resolve collection issues.Are you up to the challenge?
- Use your excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate credit and collections activities
- Limit financial exposure to our Company by reviewing customers' revenue liability and ensuring adequate collateral is obtained to secure services
- Help maintain various databases to assure the continued integrity of data and facilitate information sharing
- Obtain financial and other relevant information through annual reports and make contact with all references (banks, credit rating agencies, and trade references) to determine the risk level of each customer. You'll then analyze financial and essential information to recommend appropriate credit terms of each customer
- Monitor a portfolio of customers' accounts based in Brazil/Portuguese speaking countries
You should definitely have:
- You should have a Bachelors' Degree
- Ideally 3 years of experience of Credit and Collections or similar
- You need at least one year of good experience in Accounts Receivable
- You must be fully fluent in English and Portuguese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- This role requires your demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication abilities and interpersonal negotiating skills, and your ability to adapt to various work styles
- We require working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- It's critical you have strong customer relationship building skills to be successful in this position
