The IT for Innovative Services (ITIS) department, with its 100 researchers and engineers, shapes the transformation of business and society by developing technologies that help organisations through their digital transition in order to build a sustainable and resilient future, all while putting privacy, security and trustworthiness at the core.


We leverage the power of data and Artificial Intelligence, and we combine it with technology and domain knowledge to build up an exceptional portfolio of smart and sustainable solutions.


Responsibilities:

How will you contribute?:

You will be mainly in charge of:

  • In coordination with the Department Director, you define the partnership strategy for the department in your domain(s) of activity and lead its implementation. You report to the Department Director on progress.
  • You build partnerships and consortia around large scale projects or missions. You establish relationships with industry, development groups and other stakeholders to facilitate the creation of funding sources to sustain the department's activities.
  • You investigate and contribute to strategic decisions for the development of new or alternate collaboration and business opportunities. You identify and track partnership prospects.
  • You develop and manage positive and constructive relationships with potential partners and stakeholders and build a customized agenda for each of them with the participation of RDI staff.
  • You oversee and support the development of proposals in liaison with RDI teams and contribute to the development of collaboration proposals.
  • As an experienced negotiator you can conduct complex negotiations that involve multiple partners.
  • You lead the implementation and maintenance of appropriate tracking tools and the CRM database of current or potential funders or partners.
  • You use market feedback to orient LIST activities and respond to their needs.
  • You lead the maintenance of efficient and adequate partnership processes and their interconnection with RDI processes. You ensure key resources to support partnership activities of the department (e.g., documents, databases of activity, marketing/communication material, etc.) are up to date. You liaise with appropriate internal teams to do so.
  • You can lead and coordinate a team of partnership officers, provide guidance, and oversee their activity.
Must Have Requirements

Education

  • Master's or PhD degree in a scientific, technological or engineering field (Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus).

Experience and skills

  • 10 years of proven experience in one or more sectors relevant for the ITIS department, with direct experience in partnership and business development.
  • You have solid strategy and business development experience. As a result you have acquired the skills to think from a strategic point of view, to draw plans to achieve goals, and to followup on progress.
  • You have lead projects from budget preparation to execution and evaluations of the projects conducted.
  • You have gained outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse profiles.
  • You have the ability to promote a cooperative work environment.
  • You have promoted the capitalisation of knowledge as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within your department and between departments of an organisation.
  • You have the experience in managing partner portfolio.

Language skills

  • Excellent level of both written and spoken English and intermediate knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish is a plus.
