How will you contribute?:

  • You are motivated to propose enhanced network management and control solutions that go beyond the capabilities of the current 5G servicebased architecture.


Your mission will be to explore this topic and contribute to the design, implementation, and validation of a native AI reference architecture for 6G systems that incorporates NDT as a central mechanism for end-to-end, real-time optimisation, management and control of highly dynamic and complex network scenarios.

Specifically, the work will take place in the context of a European project, and will include, but not be limited to:

  • Contributing to the development of demonstrators that prove the potential of the NDT concept in the context of 6G (relying on simulation and/or emulation).
  • Driving LIST's technical contribution to key project tasks and representing us in collaborative discussions.

Education

  • PhD degree in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering, with a focus on wireless communications and networking.

Experience and skills

  • Extensive experience with 4G and 5G networks and their architectures, combined with indepth knowledge of evolutionary trends and potential changes towards 6G.
  • Experience with network modelling software solutions (e.g., NS3, OMNeT++) is an advantage.
  • Programming skills in Matlab, Python, C++ or Java is an advantage.
  • Experience of working in European projects is an advantage.
  • Strong publication track record in relevant international conferences and top journals.

Language skills

  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Knowledge in French is an advantage
