The Accountant is responsible for providing support to the accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks. This includes processing transactions and reconciling accounts. The Accountant will also assist in the month-end close process and other ad hoc projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and cash collection
  • Process vendor invoices and employees expenses, automatic and manual payment processing
  • Book bank transactions, reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts as needed
  • Prepare journal entries for monthend close
  • Maintain accurate records and files
  • Assist with other accounting projects as needed
  • Assist with customer project creation and planning

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar position, in a financial services, tax or trust environment
  • French mandatory, English is a must
  • Flexible, and apt to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, ERP knowledge (SAP and/or Dynamics for Finance is a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
