For our department Application Managementwithin General Services, we are looking for a (an):

Head of IT Applications

Main duties:

  • Manage, plan and lead the dedicated department and staff
  • Be responsible for the correct execution of the department's vision, strategies and activities
  • Be responsible for the guidelines and standard definition of application lifecyle.
  • Actively participate in the IT Management Team in order to define department vision, strategy and activities
  • Be responsible for the negotiation and monitoring of related contracts with external suppliers as well as the vendor management thereafter according to internal regulations in force
  • Participate the preparation and control of the dedicated department's budget planning
  • Be responsible for the establishment and updating of the department's procedures
  • Actively participate in operational IT management as well as group wide project portfolio management in given development responsibility


Required profile:

Minimum required criteria:

  • Master degree in Information Technology and proven experience on a similar position
  • Proven experience in Development and Application lifecycle management.
  • Show proven ability to analyse and problem solving coupled with experience of software design, development and testing
  • Have strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Show a good sense of priorities
  • Demonstrate good presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Be familiar with standard office applications
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an added value
  • Show excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); Skills in French or German will be considered as an advantage
  • Accept Duty Travel

  • Show the ability for clear expression in writing
  • Be capable of working independently as well as in a team
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of the data
