Junior System Administrator (m/f)
for our infrastructure team
Working alternatively into two shifts between 7AM and 7PM & on call services
We work in a production environment and you need to have a very hands-on approach as you will, on a daily basis :
- Work on incoming requests and incidents related to the network, firewall, checkpoint and proxy systems.
- Prepare the changes related to the network, firewall, checkpoint and proxy systems.
- Schedule and perform life cycle management of the hardware linked to the network, firewall, checkpoint and proxy systems.
- Keep Configuration Database aligned with the assets
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in network and security technologies, propose initiatives and improvements.
- Administer security devices and appliances, performing regular security monitoring to identify potential issues.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures and interact with vendors supports.
- Perform performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, resource optimization, systems upgrade/patching
You will, together with the infrastructure team, work on:
- Effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to infrastructure.
- Ensuring the system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures are coincident to defined business strategy.
- Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures
- Ensuring the security level for system and network devices to system standards
- Performing daily systems checks, verifying and validating the integrity and availability of hardware, resources.
- Reviewing system and applications logs and verifying the completion of scheduled jobs like backups.
- Reviewing and adapting disaster recovery plan and recovery producers all along the new implementations
- Day to day administration of the infrastructure platforms.
- Daily backup supervision, validating all required system data are backed-up and disposable for a recovery procedure.
Your profile :
- IT related degree
- Ready to roll up your sleeves and learn, learn and learn some more
- Fluent in English and French is essential
