INTEGRATION ENGINEER (M/F/D)


The Integration Engineer’s role is to support planning, coordination and integration of cloud platforms, applications and data flows through development of interfaces related to the integration of cloud platforms, software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required.


This is a hands on role, responsible for developing and maintaining a platform and application solution architecture blueprint for the organization, including definition of master data sources in collaboration with the Data management team. The role also oversees testing of the interoperability of platforms and application modules under development by in-house software development teams, commercial-off-the-shelf software deployed in the organization and with external third parties, as necessary.


The Integration Engineer role reports to the Head of IT Services (Application Support & Automation Integration).

 

ABOUT THE JOB l What will you do?


As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the following activities:

 

  • Develop and maintain an integration architecture blueprint for the organization.
  • Support the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
  • Support the usage of new application integration technology into the existing Platform and Application Integration environment.
  • Define integrations strategies and methods to facilitate and support projects deadlines
  • Ensure that integration projects support business requirements and goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives, but also simplifying where possible the topology.
  • Support the application related risks management as part of the overall risk framework.
  • Record, track, and report integration performance and software quality metrics

 

ABOUT YOU l What’s your background?


  • University degree, preferably in computer science information systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar position
  • 5 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience including data/platform architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and implementation of above.
  • Experience in maintaining an application capability landscape
  • Experience in aligning application capabilities with business needs.
  • Ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions.
  • Ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and blueprints
  • Experience modelling application processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Agile mindset focused on continuous improvement
  • Capacity to work with minimal guidance in complex projects
  • Different programming languages, API, XML, MS SQL knowledge and hands on experience
