(Junior) Analyst, Business Performance Analytics

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The incumbent works as part of the FP&A and Business Performance Analytics team and is responsible for business performance analytics. S/he develops new data models and financial reports for the Financial Department as well as supporting the FP&A team in the planning activities. The Business Performance Analytics team enhances internal reporting processes to allow a more focused analysis of financial and operational KPIs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Act as key contact person for new reporting requirements in the Finance Department and provide support by developing new data models and reports
  • Translate Business requirements into technical requirements and act as the main link between the Finance Department and Business Application Team
  • Responsible for maintaining Power BI dashboards, collecting requirements for new dashboards, and creating those dashboards with the required dataflows/dataset
  • Drive automation of standard reporting, working with Business Application, Finance and Commercial stakeholders to ensure key reports are built into self-service type dashboards
  • Analyse data and process to identify business issues and bottle necks
  • Participate in discussions related to reporting processes in the Finance Department and provide guidance to ensure proper reporting and to enhance current processes
  • Manage internal processes during planning activities by preparing and maintaining data models and input templates

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Computer Informatics, Finance/Economics with Computer Science qualifications or Computer Science with Finance qualifications (Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred)
  • At least a first working experience in a similar role
  • Strong MS Excel skill with a good understanding of VBA
  • Basic understanding of a programming language and database structures
  • Experience with MS Power BI or similar Reporting tools
